How complete is the AAM Digital Marketplace website package? The AAM Digital Marketplace website is your turn-key internet solution. You get initial site design, hosting, shopping cart, and basic search engine optimization all for one low price. All you are required to provide is a domain name and initial set-up information.
Do I have to ship products?
It’s entirely up to you. You will be allowed to set up your site to accept orders for shipping, for in-store pickup, or utilize our catalog only mode.
Will my site be mobile capable?
The AAM Digital Marketplace is mobile ready today. Consumers shopping your site on smart phones or iPads will see the site in a format sized to their device.
How will this help me be found by shoppers?
SEO and Google Local and Yahoo Places. Please note that search engine ranking is not instantaneous. It will take several weeks for your site to be found by some search engines.
Can I create my own custom website?
AAM Digital Marketplace offers six templates that can be customized through logo placements, color changes and images. We do not offer a total custom option as many of the features of our templates have been purpose built to allow easy maintenance and improved search engine indexing.
Are there any contracts to sign?
No. Payments are made month-by-month and you can cancel at any time. If you cancel we will stop billing you immediately. We're all about choice and if you don't like AAM Digital Marketplace then we won’t force you to stay.
How easy will my site be to use?
AAM Digital Marketplace sites have been designed for business owners of all skill and involvement levels. If you like, you can set your site up and rarely get involved in changes thereafter. If you prefer to add more products or additional features you may easily do so with limited computer skills. We offer video based training that coaches you through additional functionalities should you decide to utilize them.
What control do I have over pricing, parts, and brands?
You can take as much control as you like. Our Bronze package offers a hands-free approach in which AAM will load products, pricing, images and text. You may add additional products, change pricing, add or delete content and make other changes to your site through an easy to use Content Management System that has been designed for non-technical persons.
Do I have to sign a contract?
AAM requires no contract forAAM Digital Marketplace sites. You may cancel your site at any time. Please note that once you cancel your site all site content will be lost but you will maintain your domain name (as long as you maintain domain registration).
Can I transfer my site?
Your site content is not transferrable to other sites. However you will own your own domain name and you can point your domain name to any other site you may develop in the future.
Is my data safe and secure?
Yes. The security and up-time of your store is our #1 priority. We protect your store and data with the same military-grade security and encryption that the big banks use, and we have a 99.99% average uptime track record.
Is my site set up on my own domain name?
Yes, you will use your own domain name. If you have not purchased a domain name, you will purchase it in phase two of our implementation program. If you have already purchased a domain name we will help you route the domain to work on your AAM Digital Marketplace site.
How is bandwidth/storage overage calculated?
It is unlikely you will exceed the bandwidth allowed for your site plan. Bandwidth over your allocated monthly allowance is charged at half a cent per megabyte. For example, using 1 GB of bandwidth over your allocated monthly allowance would be charged $5.12 (1,024 MB x $0.005). Storage space over your monthly allowance is charged at 10 cents per megabyte.
Can I upgrade between plans?
Of course. It's easy to upgrade between plans. Just login to your store's control panel and click the billing menu at the top right of the screen, then choose the upgrade link. You can grow your store based on your pace and your budget.
Do I need my own merchant account?
It's up to you. A merchant account allows you to accept credit cards from your store and get paid directly into your checking account. If you don't have a merchant account you can use one of our 50+ payment providers instead, including PayPal and Google Checkout. A lot of our clients start with PayPal or Google Checkout and then move to their own merchant account (which integrates with AAM Digital Marketplace in 3 clicks from your store's control panel) after their store has been live for a few months.
What software does AAM Digital Marketplace integrate with?
AAM Digital Marketplace has the capability to integrate with many different types of applications, including order management and accounting software, shopping comparison sites and social media. As your experience and commitment to your site grows you will find the AAM Digital Marketplace plans offers many options for expanded business management and marketing.
Do I need my own SSL certificate?
We do recommend purchasing your own SSL certificate (which you can do on the next step), however we provide a free shared SSL certificate for all plans.
