On May 14<sup>th<\/sup> Cloyes had\nthe honor of manufacturing an LT2 Crankshaft Sprocket, an essential engine\ncomponent, for one of the most sought-after vehicles: the 2020 Chevrolet\nCorvette C8. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Often referred to as the\n\u201cmid-engine Corvette\u201d, the 2020 model delivers 495 HP with 470 lb.-ft. of\ntorque, making it the most powerful production Stingray ever made, according to\nGeneral Motors (GM). Cloyes\u2019 contribution to the newly redesigned Corvette is\nan LT2 Crankshaft Sprocket manufactured from SAE billet steel with\ninduction-hardened teeth for durability. The 22-tooth design is cut to the\nISO-606 Roller Sprocket specification and features a custom 6-tooth involute\nspline on the front hub to drive the oil pump impeller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All Cloyes products are\nextensively tested and verified to ensure they meet OE specifications.
