EDP—or electrophoretic deposition— is a finishing process by which metal parts are electrically charged and then dipped in an opposite-charged paint solution. This sequence attracts the paint to the metal to achieve total part coverage with excellent corrosion resistance while also creating a smooth and nonporous layer of paint. EDP coats look great as they are, but you can also further paint or powder coat them as you desire.
