RaceQuip: VESTA15 Snell SA-2015 Full-Face Helmet

The new VESTA15 full-face Snell SA-2015 helmet from RaceQuip is a bold departure from traditional auto racing helmet styling, combining a contemporary design with modern production techniques to achieve a balance between light weight and affordability.

RaceQuip designed the VESTA15 with a hand-laid fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) fiberglass shell and a uniquely shaped chin bar to support a scalloped, distortion-free face shield. The shield boasts a molded thumb catch, aluminum pivot kit, hand-ratcheting Tear-Off posts, and a silicone eye port gasket to seal out dirt. The eye port is thoughtfully designed to allow for good peripheral vision and the use of personal eyewear. Finally, strategically placed exhaust vents help you keep a cool head.

The SA rating means that the Nomex interior and paint and Kevlar chin strap are fire retardant—so the VESTA15 is suitable for use in all forms of motorsports.

Available in Pearl White and Flat Black in sizes Small through 2XL.

Quick Fuel Technology (QFT) has upped the ante with its new eight-injector 1,200 hp QFI-8i system designed for higher-output engines.

The QFI-8i relies on QFT’s patented Annular-Discharge venturi sleeves, which inject fuel through 16 holes per sleeve, positioned high up in the throttle body, for superior atomization and increased power output. Users will enjoy the touch screen handheld controller, which offers data logging, live telemetry, setup menus, calibration adjustments, the ability to read and clear fault codes, and ignition timing control.

Despite the immense amount of control offered, the best news is that the QFI-8i is self-learning! Just enter in the initial self-prompted values, start it up, and drive. Most systems will not require further adjustment, but those with power features like nitrous, boost, or race-type cams can be adjusted with the handheld device (laptop software is also available for free download on the QFT website).

The QFI-8i is available in two finishes: Polished and QFT’s proprietary heat- and scratch-resistant Black Diamond.
