GOLD metalized radiant matting from DEI—made from high-temperature metalized polyimide film bonded to heat-treated glass fiber—can be installed almost anywhere in your vehicle to reduce the damaging effects of heat. GOLD metalized matting can reflect direct heat up to 800°F and radiant heat up to 1,100°F.
This DEI product can be used to cover air intake tubes, firewalls, over-transmission tunnels, air boxes, under the carpet, and around mufflers and catalytic converters. Non-automotive uses include marine, powersports, or wherever direct or radiant heat protection is desired.
GOLD metalized matting goes on mechanically or via adhesive spray (DEI 010490) and is available in two sizes: 24” x 24” (4 sq. ft.) and 36” x 40” (10 sq. ft.). Custom-cut lengths available by special order.
