Dual-disc Dragon Claw clutches from Hays give you the best of both worlds: the clamping force of a race clutch with the drivability of a street clutch. Rated up to 1,150 foot-pounds of torque at the crankshaft, they withstand the abuse of high-performance engines without the typical heavy pedal associated with performance clutches.
Dragon Claw clutch kits feature a diaphragm and a special lever-assist design. The diaphragm maintains a pedal effort suitable for street use. As RPM increases, however, the clutch levers swing out through centrifugal force to apply pressure directly above the pressure plate, allowing the clutch to handle tremendous amounts of torque with no slip.
Hays used nearly bulletproof 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum for the flywheel, and lightweight 7075-T6 aluminum for the cover. Dragon Claw clutch discs consist of a specially formulated ceramic friction material that is both “street-able” and aggressive, as well as sprung-hub disc centers that allow for smooth engagement, less gear lash, and longer transmission life.
A complete twin-disc assembly weighs as little as 35 pounds and comes complete with an alignment tool and all the shims and hardware you need for a fast, easy installation. They’re 100-percent American made, and there’s absolutely no break-in period at all—just install and drive.
