The Go EFI 4 fits any 4-bbl intake manifold and is the most self-contained and full-featured unit of this type. For example, it boasts wet flow annual discharge; timing control; and the fastest, most accurate self-learning on the market. In addition, FiTech mounted the ECU on the throttle body to greatly facilitate installation: no unsightly harness draped across your engine or hole in your firewall. Plus, it’s the only computer-mounted throttle body that offers spark control without the need for a special distributor or external spark box. The 6LS ignition controller from MSD can now be installed on EFI or carburetor-equipped engines. While it may seem blasphemous to some, putting a carburetor on a GM Gen-III V-8 is a great option for those wanting the advantages of an aluminum small block without the headaches of wiring a modern EFI system. The controller allows you to map a timing advance curve with MSD’s easy-to-use Pro-Data+ software. Other programmable features include a two-step rev limiter, a vacuum advance curve for cruising economy, and even a step retard in case you want to add a little nitrous to the mix.

The 6LS is designed for LS1/LS6 type engines with a 24-tooth wheel, which can be identified by its black crank sensor connector, and fits with matching factory connectors for a direct installation. Only a handful of connections are required, including the coils, crank sensor, MAP sensor, and cam sensor. You’ll have your carbed LSX running in no time!

When the candy apple red Camaro pulled into our parking lot last week, we knew Painless Performance had arrived. Company President Adrian Murray and National Sales Manager Derek Love came into town to talk shop, marketing, and the promotion of their exciting new Trail Rocker product line.

This year Painless celebrated its 25th anniversary in the aftermarket industry. Considering a switch to EFI or swapping in that late-model motor? What has recently become the hottest trend in hot rodding has been plagued by fuel delivery. The question, as always, is “What do I do for a tank?” Until now, the answer has been one of three options: Weld in a sump to your tank; go with a fuel cell; or pay for a custom tank. Well, not anymore! Aeromotive’s Phantom Fuel System gives you the option to put a high-performance fuel pump inside virtually any fuel tank, including your factory tank.

The process is straightforward: Cut a hole in your tank. Measure the depth. Cut your pump hanger bracket to length and your baffle / basket foam. Insert the baffle. Install the retainer ring and gasket. Bolt down your pump and hanger. That’s it. Now you have a fuel pump inside your factory tank capable of supporting big horsepower (EFI or carbureted)—and it’s whisper quiet to boot!
