RaceQuip: FIA Camlocks

If you’ve been among the many racers asking RaceQuip for more of its discontinued FIA harness systems, you’re in luck! Two years after RaceQuip stopped making its FIA camlocks, the company has issued a limited run of four part numbers, all 6-point designs: 751001 (pull-down lap Black), 754004 (pull-up lap HNR Black), 754014 (pull-up lap HNR Red), and 755005 (Euro sub 2” PD lap Black).

These harnesses all carry the current FIA 8853/98 rating with fresh 2022 FIA dates. In addition, the 751 and 754 belts are dual certified with SFI punch tags, meaning racers in certain sanctions will be able to use them for at least the next five years.

Earl’s Performance Plumbing has expanded its line of electric fuel pumps and fuel pressure regulators, all using the same Holley components, design, and manufacturing processes you’ve come to trust. These new products are available in low- or high-pressure versions designed for use with a carburetor and gasoline.

Three new part numbers are available: 12803ERL (Fuel Pressure Regulator—Carburetor Style), 128011ERL (Low-Pressure 97 GPH Electric Fuel Pump), and 128151ERL (High-Pressure 140 GPH Electric Fuel Pump). The low-pressure pump does not require a fuel pressure regulator in most applications (unlike the high-pressure pump).

Suitable for engines from 250 to 600 horsepower, the 30001 Go EFI 4 self-tuning fuel injection system from FiTech is perfect for a variety of vehicles, from bracket racers and weekend street machines to everyday drivers.

The Go EFI 4 fits any 4-bbl intake manifold and is the most self-contained and full-featured unit of this type. For example, it boasts wet flow annual discharge; timing control; and the fastest, most accurate self-learning on the market. In addition, FiTech mounted the ECU on the throttle body to greatly facilitate installation: no unsightly harness draped across your engine or hole in your firewall. Plus, it’s the only computer-mounted throttle body that offers spark control without the need for a special distributor or external spark box. The universal Orion air intake system from K&N is engineered to increase volumetric efficiency and engine horsepower. The Orion uses K&N’s famous removable cotton gauze air filter and offers the benefits of an open-cone filter and standard air box in one unit. MSD Performance (85801): Billet Distributor with Steel Gear for Ford 351C-460 Big Blocks

MSD Performance’s Ford big block billet distributor* now comes with a steel gear installed for specific camshaft requirements.

The 85801 features stainless steel terminals and an easily adjustable mechanical advance assembly that has been fine blanked from chrome-moly steel, TIG welded for strength, and QPQ coated. Precision weights glide on nylon bushings for a smooth advancement, and stop bushings and springs allow for a variety of advance curves.

Guided by a long sintered bushing and sealed ball bearing, the advance/reluctor steel shaft has been coated with a friction-reducing agent, a combination that provides spark delivery at any RPM and stable timing signals. MSD’s maintenance-free and race-proven magnetic pick-up handles triggering chores.

Note: Must be used with an MSD ignition control.
