Flex-A-Lite (315360): Direct-Fit Extruded-Tube Core Radiator/Fan System for 6.0L Power Stroke Turbodiesel

Thanks to Flex-A-Lite, better cooling is in sight for owners of 2003–2007 Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty pickups with 6.0L Power Stroke Turbodiesel engines. The 315360 system, which comes with dual electric fans, replaces the factory belt-driven clutch fan and shroud to deliver more engine power to the wheels and better fuel economy. It also allows for faster engine warm-up and improves A/C performance at idle and slow speeds.

The future of performance aluminum radiators includes a variable-speed, adjustable thermostatic controller, moves 6,000 cfm of airflow, and provides better heat transfer—all thanks to the extruded-tube design, which replaces outdated single-, two-, three-, and four-core configurations. The Flex-A-Lite 315360 radiator/fan combo achieves this performance along with more durability (100 psi burst rating) and less weight.

Applications (including LS swap) available for muscle cars, pickups, and Jeep. Also available without a fan (315300).

Features

  • Increased contact between coolant and aluminum tubes—and tubes and fins—for better heat rejection and cooling.
  • Redesigned cooling fins also contribute to improved heat rejection and cooling—wind tunnel tested!
  • 100 psi burst rating.
  • Corner subhead reinforces the cooling tube–to–header connection, an area prone to cracking and leaking in other brands of aluminum radiators.
  • Available with (315360) and without (315300) dual electric fans.
  • Warranty: 2-year transferrable.

Flex-A-Lite: LoBoy Flex-Wave Electric Fans

Bringing together its Flex-Wave electric fan blade and LoBoy 16” fan, Flex-A-Lite has achieved a brand-new, best-in-class fan assembly. The LoBoy Flex-Wave electric fan leverages the aerodynamic efficiencies of the patent-pending Flex-Wave design to move a class-leading 3,000 cfm of airflow—33% more than the leading competitor.

The Flex-Wave blade itself is so much more than just a different visual look. Its “sine-wave” profile creates leading edges that cut through the air first in a way that blades with solid, single lines cannot, creating more efficient air movement along with winglet tips that reduce air vortices. In addition, the waved surface provides channels for the air to move along, producing more airflow through the radiator and reducing energy loss. And finally, variations in the trailing blade edges reduce wind noise.

The Flex-A-Lite LoBoy Flex-Wave electric fan can be purchased as a puller (PN 238) or pusher (PN 239).

Features

  • 3,000 cfm airflow—33% more than the leading competitor.
  • Flex-Wave sine-wave blades improve air efficiency.
  • Winglet tips reduce air vortices.
  • Variations in trailing blade edges reduce wind noise.
  • Available as a puller fan (238) or pusher fan (239).

Flex-A-Lite (700021): Remote-Mount Stacked-Plate 21-Row Engine Oil Cooler with Electric Fan and AN Fittings

Bringing performance cooling to demanding engine applications—when engine coolant alone just isn’t enough to guard against wear and failure—the 700021 engine oil cooler from Flex-A-Lite provides four times the heat rejection of typical low-cost coolers thanks to turbulized and louvered fins that transmit more heat into the air. Acting in tandem is the 1.75” thick core, which minimizes oil pressure drop while maximizing heat transfer.

Flex-A-Lite engineered the 21-row, stacked-plate 700021 cooler to be mounted remotely and included a 6.5” electric fan and -8, -10, and -12 interchangeable AN fittings with O-rings.

Models

  • Performance cooling for demanding engine applications.
  • Mounts remotely and includes a 6.5” electric fan.
  • Four times the heat rejection of typical low-cost coolers.
  • Advanced fins and core in a 21-row, stacked-plate design.
  • Interchangeable -8, -10, and -12 AN fittings with O-rings included.
  • Measures 11” x 7.5” x 4.25”.

Flex-A-Lite: Wave Electric Fans

Producing 25% more airflow than comparable electric fans from other companies, the all-new Wave electric fan from Flex-A-Lite is also quieter and more efficient than traditional S- and straight-blade designs. The Flex-A-Lite team was able to engineer these benefits by using advanced computational fluid dynamics software to create the most aerodynamic profile possible and then testing it in a wind tunnel to verify results.

The performance is in the innovation. The newly engineered sine wave–shaped blade creates channels for the air to move along and reduces air vortices, while variations in the trailing edge reduce wind noise.

Three Sizes Available

  • P/N 236: 16” x 16.5” x 3.75” with 2,660 CFM
  • P/N 234:25” x 14.75” x 3.5” with 1,900 CFM
  • P/N 232: 12” x 13” x 3.5” with 1,325 CFM
